Take a walk into the Devil's Gorge.....

Fancy doing something different in Tenerife? Then this may be the walk for you!

The walk through the Barranco del Infierno (Devil's Gorge) is situated at the very top of the town of Adeje. It is easily accesible from most major Tenerife South areas by bus.

Adjacent to the Otello restaurant (which is very good!) you enter a beautiful valley of lush green contrasted with the famous volcanic lanscape of Tenerife. You will meander through a marked trail, some of which is
within a deep ravine that sometimes grows quite dark and cool. You will find a multitude of wildlife so look out for baby frogs, and falcons and kestrels in the sky.

After the hour / hour and a half walk you will reach a small natural waterfall, which can be a welcome sight especially if you are walking in the afternoon sun! Many visitors take a picnic and enjoy a break by the waterfall before the walk back.
After the walk, why not enjoy the famous Adeje chicken and papas arrugadas at Otello's restaurant with a glass of wine or sangria!

Prices for the walk are very resonable (approx 3 euros) and there are discounts for Tenerife residents. Admission is free for Adeje residents registered in Adeje town council.

It is worth noting that the Barranco del Infierno is currently closed for maintenance but is due to reopen within the next month or so. We recomend you check their website to check before you go......http://www.barrancodelinfierno.es/
